Notre Dame’s showdown against Navy spotlighted breakout performances from Nolan James, Jerome Bettis Jr., and Luke Talich. James powered the offense, delivering a momentum-shifting 50-plus-yard touchdown run just before halftime and proving he can be more than just a steady option. Bettis Jr. showcased his big-play ability with a 30-plus-yard touchdown, raising questions about how far-deep talent in Notre Dame’s wide receiver room could impact upcoming matchups.
On defense, Luke Talich answered the call with 10 tackles, flying across the field to stifle Navy’s attack. Can this hard-hitting secondary and explosive rushing attack translate to dominance in future battles, especially as Notre Dame eyes a national championship run?
