CJ Carr's journey with Notre Dame takes center stage, raising questions about his potential to be more than just a reliable game manager. After a tough loss where the Irish’s offense struggled to find its footing, Carr’s efficiency dipped to 55%, and the passing attack lacked the deep-ball threat fans expected. With 49 pass attempts but little ground game support—Jonas Walton’s mere five carries highlighted the running game’s neglect—Carr’s ability to push the ball downfield and deliver playmaking moments is under scrutiny.
Notre Dame’s defense, once ranked number one, faltered against Bear Bachmeier while offensive inconsistencies left nothing guaranteed. As the Irish search for answers, Carr’s performance and leadership remain a focal point. Meanwhile, Tommy Carr emerges as Michigan's new starting quarterback, unseating a highly paid competitor and adding another Carr family storyline to watch this season. Can CJ elevate his game to deliver the wins Notre Dame needs?
